Length of genome (Lau et al., 2014, Boros et al., 2012): c. 8,500 nt (5'-UTR: 761 nt; ORF: 7,425 nt; 3'-UTR: 310 nt). 5' UTR contains a type II IRES. The 3' UTR is long at 310 nt. The location of the cre has not been identified.

The deduced polyprotein has a length of 2,474 aa. There is a L protein with unknown function. The 1AB protein remains uncleaved. 2A protein contains a H-box/NC motif.


Viral RNA was detected in the faeces of turkeys and chickens.
