Morphology

No details are available on the morphology of the virions. 

Nucleic acid

Genome (Naoi et al., 2016): 7,062 nt (5′–UTR: 754 nt; ORF: 6,273 nt; 3′–UTR: 125 nt). The location of the cre has not been identified.

The deduced polyprotein is of 2,091 aa. The function of the L and 2A proteins is unclear.

Viral RNA was detected in a faecal specimen of a healthy, 2-months old piglet.

Tottori-: place name, refers to the Tottori prefecture, Japan, where the faecal sample was collected.
